| - There are quite a few escape room choices in Las Vegas, but the Saw themed escape room is the first that I have encountered that boasts an "authentic" experience. From the moment you enter past the gates and greet the friendly guard, Shady, you are brought into a rustic yard and building. The whole place is themed around dread, horror; very much like the Saw movies. You enter a butchery, and that's very fitting for the experience you're about to have.
Upon entry and signing of waivers, you have a guide who talks rules after a very 1950s video. Her accent and all is the very primer you need for taking you back into time and into a dreadful world. Upon entry you go through about 5-6 rooms, and they are all timed shorter than I thought - 8 minutes. I suppose this is to usher you through different experiences. All of which are like a movie set and done VERY well. Everything looks scary, dark, and old.
My experience? Well, I did go through a crawl space and get dirty. Our group did as well and it helped to get all kinds of clues (Bailey was helpful). We weren't perfect, but it helped to joke around. I was ready to have something pop out at me, but nothing did. I didn't get as scared as I thought I would. You won't either. I think you have to move fast here and get help if you can, but don't prepare for flashlights to work.
Hopefully your mind will work fast, solve problems, jot down clues, and help you focus on anything but the prospect of being one of Jigsaw's victims.
