Discovered the Glidden House while researching colleges for my son... and I'd have to say that one of the reasons he wound up attending the Cleveland Institute of Art for a year & a half was due to the hospitality of the staff at the Glidden House.
He's moved on, now... but we still return to this University circle gem whenever we have reason to visit Cleveland. It's always a welcome sight when we pull a chair at the bar and talk to "Doc" or learn how to fix the WiFi from James (one of the only low points from our last visit).
Mornings at the Glidden is one of the favorite parts of my stay... there is a steady flow of people flowing in and out of the breakfast area. it's quite a meeting place for Case Western professors, doctors and patients visiting the Cleveland Clinic. Very convivial atmosphere!
If you're hungry & in a time crunch you can order food from Sergios & have it at the bar or delivered to your room. Very nice, very delicious. Ask "Doc" to make one of his signature cocktails. But you'd better hurry! Once he's done with his studies and passes his practicals it's residency for him!
