| - I am an old guy who goes to many clubs including Bombshells before it was Sugar 44. I am familiar with most of the current and past clubs, spoke against the new rules at City Council in late 90's and represented a club at the Club Owners Association led by Damien who owned Alaskan Bush. This was in response to 1998 law change when "lap" dances had to be "straddle the chair" dances. Cops posed as customers watching closely for many hours for the slightest contact (local TV reported how the waste of resources). Some owners were fined or forced to close for a week or so for the most minor violation. Much less enforcement in last 5+ years, except at one club due to pending attempt to get liquor license of another club. I am not aware of any issues at Sugar 44.
BTW, my drink is diet coke, have no interest just gawking at bodies and never done the VIP at any club except BSC with no extra entry fee. I enjoy high quality caring touch lap dances, intelligent conversation and am known for giving dancers neck, back and hand massages with them often wanting to stay with me just for more massage after dances. I've been trained in Esalen, taught couples groups and encourage men to learn more quality, intimate yet non-sexual touch techniques.
One dancer after a few dances wanted to just cuddle and talk awhile. Afterwards, I tried to tip her more than just a few dances for all the time we shared and she refused to accept it.
I enjoy Sugar 44 because it is a smaller down to earth friendly club. Since I only visit clubs every few months, there is so much turnover and so many dancers at the big clubs very hard to find someone you liked previously. Sometimes hard at Sugar but at least it is smaller.
Many dancers I have talked with worked at other clubs before Sugar and indicate less competition among dancers, more support from other dancers and management.
I am very picky about body types to meet (slimmer, smaller natural breasts). Looking at big manmade's are not attractive to me. Sugar has a wide variety, and I find lots of "my type" and not pushy if I reject "no thanks" if not my type.
Most dancers will sit and get to know you briefly not like the "wanna dance" dancers that I or our group of three or four usually turn down unless they are willing to see if some more personal connection by talking briefly vs. just bouncy dances.
Waitresses have always been friendly and have given me the proper change for my diet coke. Folks at the bar seem friendly, although I've never sat at the bar.
My biggest irritant at most clubs is the loud noise that some folks call music. At some clubs very hard to yell at each other over the music to have any conversation. Sugar is not as bad as some clubs!
My only "cons" are the Sugar44.com site. It forces you to use outdated Flash (can't even use with Chrome due to security issues) and the videos requiring flash are gone so why need Flash? My biggest issue is the entry coupons expire 12/31/2017. Often I arrive just before 7 PM so not needed but will see if they take the old ones this coming week if I can get our "gang of 3" to include them on our visits to clubs next week. Otherwise, the site is very nice for what it has.
I was once at Sugar 44 and I got the last spot in the parking lot but usually, I avoid peak times. The construction with one lane of Thomas coming from the West can be bad so I come down 44th Street. The back way alley works nice. Might be finished by now.
