We took the street car from Queen's Quay (after coming back from Toronto Island) to Chinatown (yum yum). We were at the Queen's Quay station for a good 15 minutes before any streetcars arrived. The first three were all in the other direction. The next two were on our side of the platform but it was a different line. Finally, just as I was about to faint, the 510 came!
I have to say that $3 is pretty expensive for a ride Come on, it's essentially a bus. Wait, is $3 how much buses cost in Canada? It's $1.50 in LA. Anyway, we rode it for the novelty (the bf suggested taking a taxi but I pretended like I didn't hear his comment). The thing was really slow. I don't know why I expected it to go faster. I should've known better from all of my experience riding Muni lines in San Francisco.
But alas, it got us to where we wanted to go and it was fun while it lasted. Would I want to ride it for actual transportation purposes? Definitely no!
