  • I end up here a lot, not by choice, but because clients put me up here when shows are at the convention center. Def not my first choice. The hotel is dated and has glimmers of old Vegas which is great, but it's rough. Getting to your room is difficult. The towers are broken up into 2 sections where one set of elevators takes to one set of floors of that tower (north, central, south) and the other takes you to the other floors. Once you get to your floor the signs aren't very clear as to which way you're supposed to go in certain instances. Some are wrapped around the corner from the elevators while others send you one way, but you quickly figure it out you're going the wrong way as it's the opposite direction. It's a bit confusing. The rooms come w/ a mini fridge which is helpful and the beds are comfy. However the rooms must be on some sort of timers because I set mine to 60 one day and came back and it was on 72 when I got back. There was no housekeeping done to my room that day so not sure how it jumped from 60 to 72. After being in triple digit weather you want to come back to an icebox. The casino itself has pricing for games as though it's a major player on the strip. $10 for craps at 10am. Really? W/ the small amount of tables they have you would think they would want to drum up business w/ lower table wages. I get it when it gets later in the day or when there's a convention, but not midday on a Wednesday w/ nothing going on at the LVCC or even in town. Check in is a bit ridiculous. They do have check-in at 11am, BUT that doesn't mean anything. It took 90 minutes to check-in 12 people and that's because there were 2 people checking in people. Meanwhile in checkout there were 6 people. That line quickly dwindled and as new people showed up to checkout they were being taken before the people waiting in line to check in. The staff said they could only help w/ checkout. Which is not true as they can work both sides. I understand they have a job to do, but they don't need 6 people to checkout 5 people. It took some bitching and complaining by those of us in line to get a few of the checkout staff members to start accepting check-ins. The managers actually came out at one time and located at the situation when they lines were heavy in check-in vs check-out and didn't opt to make the call to inform staff to accept both. The casino has a great sports book which is smoke free. They also have a deli there that is being reconstructed, so the menu is not as extensive as it was previously. They do have other areas to eat at, along w/ a coffee shop. Prices are casino pricing. No discount for being off the strip. Parking is free, IF there is nothing going on at the LVCC or event in town that is. Otherwise expect to pay. This place is fine if you just need a place to rest your head, but w/o a car your Uber/LYFT/Taxi rides will add up.
