  • This is the ONLY place to get a classic cocktail made with care, attention and passion in Pittsburgh. The pricing here is fair considering the knowledge of the mixologists...the venue could use a little sprucing up BUT for a prohibition style dive, it's amazing. It is not heavily advertised, the windows are boarded up and it's very nondescript even when the front door is open and they are slinging drinks. It feels like a members only kinda place. Great atmosphere, educated staff, unparalleled cocktails. It's nice having a more pricey space on Carson street because it keeps the "bro" college types away from the usually infested neighbourhood. We had "the cats ass" of old fashioned's and dirty gin martinis here until we walked out with one eye closed.
