I funkin' love this place. In a perfect world, my Saturday would always consist of an afternoon trip to Pusateri, whereupon I would buy a week's worth of photoshoot-worthy produce and then pick up a sandwich at Garage in the back. Then I would walk away with my fresh bag of goods, a baguette from About Cheese sticking out the side, strutting like Barefoot Contessa on a summer day in the Hamptons.
Their produce selection is top-notch and top-quality. I oftentimes find myself strolling by the outside display and backing up to snatch some local berries or apples. I *always* buy my salad ingredients here (ok, so the lemons aren't always ideal, but I'll forgive and forget). Otherwise their grocery selection is quite unique - you'll find more specialty ingredients here than normal cereal and bread selection. Lots of delicious things you may have never seen before, like oh-my-god the Raincoast Crisps. And unique yogurt.
Oh, don't confuse it with el-snobberino Pusateri's, this spot is as small-town vibey as it gets in this city! My only beef is that they're closed on Sundays, which is usually my get-things-done time. But who can blame 'em for taking a day off?!
