| - I decided to take my 3.5 year old son here to spend a few hours and have a fun day. I read the reviews online prior to going and knew what to expect. I got the unlimited wristband with tokens deal for my son. I did not pay for myself as I didn't plan to go on any of the rides.
We started with the miniature golf course and kiddo was bored before we even finished. Then we moved onto the train ride, which he enjoyed. And then my adorable son turned into a little butt and refused to go on any more rides. And this is coming from a kid who just got back from Lego Land and went on everything. But no, he just wanted to spend the rest of the time running around the indoor play area.
Finally, after about 30 mins, he was ready to do something else. I talked him into going on one of those little rocket rides that you see at the grocery store and when we put our money in, it didn't work. I looked down and saw that that ride and all three of those rides were actually unplugged. They should have remembered to plug it in before they open the doors. But I just let it go and didn't complain to the staff. We just ended up using up the tokens and after that, I had a screaming, crying little boy who didn't want to leave. Fun stuff. I was upset about the day because we could have gone to Chuck E. Cheese and had the same experience (crying boy included) for only $5 instead of $15. But, this has nothing to do with the park, and is not reflected in my overall rating or review.
Pros:
Enough rides to keep little kids (who actually like rides) entertained.
Good place for the summertime in Phoenix
Laser Tag is probably fun, but my kiddo is too young to participate
We showed up right after opening on a Saturday. Many of the rides were unattended, but staff quickly showed up if there was something the kids wanted to ride on.
Cons:
Rides should have been checked to make sure they were plugged in before opening.
The play area looked like it could use a little maintenance.
The games were dated and not something I would imagine little kids would enjoy. It was kind of like being in an arcade in the 80s. Maybe they are there more for the parents or older kids.
Staff could be a little friendlier and smile more. They weren't bad or mean, but they looked like they didn't really want to be there. I guess being around screaming kids all day would do that to anyone.
I didn't try the snack bar so I can't comment on the food.
Overall, it was okay. I will probably come back again when my kid is a little older and have more confidence that I will get my money's worth. I wish they had one closer to my home!
