  • BUYER BEWARE!! The worst experience of our our 43 years of married life. We made it clear to Dave, the salesman, that we did NOT want a used mattress as we'd seen the horror stories of bedbugs on 20/20. What was delivered to our home? A used mattress with the "gift" of bedbugs. We had no proof that it was used until the bug man came over due to our complaint to Best Mattress Liquidation. When the mattress was taken off the box springs to inspect for bedbugs, we noticed on the headboard end of the mattress a sticker that read "Second hand (used) mattress." If the mattress had not been turned 180 degrees when it was placed back on the box springs, we would have never seen the sticker. It is our conclusion that their delivery men intentionally placed the mattress on the box springs with the sticker at the headboard end so we'd never see it. Also, the mattress that Dave sold us (emphasis on "Dave") was not fully sealed when it was delivered. Where it picked up the bedbugs could have been in their warehouse or on their delivery truck. We had to move out of our house for a month before we felt it safe to move back into. The whole fiasco cost us @ $7,000. Dave, along with Best Mattresses, took no responsibility for the bedbugs or selling us a used mattress. We lost furniture, pillows, sheets, towels, clothes, etc. that we've been unable to replace. We filled about 90 bags of items that had to be junked. Small claims court here we come!
