  • Although mbrgr will always have a special place in my heart, good things must always come to an end. In this case, good things have come to an end and given way for something even better. I got a chance to check out Taboo during Poutine week and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the veggie poutine and my friend ordered the zombie poutine. First of all, you have to enjoy thick cut fries to be a fan of this one. The veggie poutine comes with vegetables complemented with goat cheese. My friends, this is a RICH poutine. This is not something that I'd eat every single but it's nice to indulge once in awhile. It was very good and I'd love to try the mushroom or regular one next time I come. They also serve sliders and burgers which I didn't get an oppurtunity to try but would be very open to coming again. Overall, the vibe of this place is very cool. The design and space is on point with some rustic and warm wooden touches giving the place some character. Plan your next cheat meal accordingly and get yourself to Taboo and grab some nice drinks and food with some friends!
