| - If you're looking for service, you're not going to get it here. It's always the same 2 servers, no matter how busy it gets so while food comes out fast - the servers won't. More than likely, you'll have to get up and go to the cash register or wave them down yourselves. They also have weird rules and fees about splitting checks, so don't do it. I learned the hard way. So if that's not how you like your dining experience, try somewhere else.
BUT, If you're looking for larger than average portions, low prices, and ridiculously good Japanese comfort food - this is it. The menu will probably take you 20 minutes to get through, it's like the Asian equivalent of the Cheesecake Factory when it comes to choices. Don't want to try one plate? They got you covered. They have plenty of options so that you can combine entrees at a low cost. Food moochers paradise! No more having to secretly hope that your friend orders something that you can 'taste test.'
Sushi-wise, I've NEVER seen anywhere else be as generous as they are with their sashimi slices. They have more unique varieties as well and have adopted the soy paper as well. I can go on, but if you must know how good the sushi is, I've spotted the owner of Sakana eating at the sushi bar a couple of times. Scandaloussss.
