| - Haven't been here since it first opened. Not much as changed. I still remember the oversize white butcher coats that make those poor waiters wear in the desert. Lots of good steak places to try in Vegas...this is surely one of them. Exceptional service from every staff member we encountered in this restaurant. They made you feel welcome and well taken care of.
Started with the Wedge salad. Have to say, one of the best wedge salads I have ever had anywhere. Just enough to make you want more. The blue cheese dressing is made in-house and the lardons (think big bacon chunks) are spectacular.
They are known for BONE IN steaks, so I usually get a filet, but bone in it was. I did the Cajun Rib Eye 24 oz. I do not need to eat again until Labor Day, but it was soooo good. Cooked just right. When you want to eat the fat, you know it's cooked right. The Cajun spice was marinated into the meet for 24 hours, so really flavorful and if you like spice, this one's for you. My partner had the Au Povoir style, in red wine reduction and LOTS OF PEPPER. He didn't care for the way his medium steak came out, and didn't say anything until we left. You pay a lot for these steaks, and they did ask several times how the steak was. If mine was overcooked, I would have let them know. He did not...so, guess I have to take off a star for his meal. We shared the corn side dish - very fresh, they shave that corn right off the cob in a funky sauce that is a little spicy, but with my meal, it was a nice compliment. Also shared a loaded baked potato and I couldn't eat all of that as the steak took precedence for me.
Had a nice Russian River Pinot with dinner that was recommended and an excellent choice if you are a fan of this type of wine.
Would consider it again, after I make my way through all the other steakhouse in town. An old favorite that if you have a special night out, I think you'll like it.
