Don't go to lv skin and cancer.....any of them!!!! The first one I went to they forgot to show up for my surgery...yup, I waited at the hospital with needles in my arm for 7 hours because the doc forgot. So, I had to reschedule the surgery and the other surgeons from another company that did show up. The oncologist finally called me back (he was golfing) to tell me to have the other sergeons do the one surgery and he would do his surgery the following week. Umm, no two full surgeries are not needed just because he forgot. My other surgeons were shocked. And whenhe finally showed up for the surgery the following week, he screwed up the biopsy sample. I filed a complaint and the mgr called back. She was polite and apologized. She told me to go to the st. Rose location since it would be better. So I drove all the way across town and waited hours to be seen for my appt. I was placed in a room and promptly forgotten...AGAIN. after an hour of juggling two kids in a small room I went looking for the new doc. He'd left for the weekend but they said I could reschedule. Seriously. I left in tears. I went to Hope Cancer center- they rock.
My 24 yo cousin went to lv skin and cancer to look at a growing breast lump. They felt it and said she was fine. She became pregnant and the lump grew. They said it was because she was pregnant. Still no mammogram or biopsy ordered. She gave birth and the nurse felt the breast when her milk wasn't coming out. Bigger lump now which turned out to be stage 4 cancer. The docs at ucla stated that it was likely stage 1-2 when she was asking lv skin and cancer about it. After she is done with treatment she plans on suing.
