| - I live a mere mile from 32 Shea, and pass it at least twice a day, every day. I remember when the building was a little coffee shop. Never had a reason to stop in until my gal-friend, who lives on the west side(!), suggested we meet there for dinner. Now... I hang my head in shame. I should have been the one saying "Oh, you have to try 32 Shea. It's amazing!" Well, I am now a fan and we plan on going monthly. This will give me the opportunity to try EVERYTHING.
This visit I had the Roast Beef Sliders. I can't express to you how melt-in-your-mouth moist the beef was, and the wee buns were incredibly soft (I'm sure it's an artisan bread and not just a "bun"). And the horseradish spread was delish! We didn't partake in any leaded beverages, but they have a pretty nice selection.
I think the most amazing part of this experience is... you forget you are seated just yards from 32 St. Not an overwhelmingly busy stretch of road, but it does have its fair share of traffic. No matter to me! The strategically placed trees, music and staff divert distract and engage successfully!
The only reason i took off a star is its size, especially indoors. Very "quaint." The outdoor patio is a great location, though, when the weather is kind.
Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning.
