| - If you love racing or even think you might, you must do this if you are in Vegas. I went about 09/20/2014, and it looks like they added more cars which is great.
You have only 3 to 5 laps so I was very happy that they took the time to introduce the track in a classroom setting and simulators to get you familiar. This is so important. If they just threw you out there you would waste money on slow cautious laps where you would be bored, scared, or dangerous.
Once you are done with the simulator you will have some degree of confidence. I was very happy with my instructors. They were patient with my mistakes but once they saw confidence they were helping me brake nice and deep at the end of the straight.
I tried the Porsche Cayman, a wonderful, smooth, light, car. It was a very good introduction to the track.
Then I tried the F430 GT. Truly shockingly stark. Racing seat, six point harness, mostly metal interior. If your heart loves racing, not just street driving, you must try the prepped race cars they have. It's just viscerally different. They are really loud in a beautiful way. Really sharp, slightly unforgiving, but the instructor will guide you. Don't forget they have actual aero, so you can get more grip by going faster. It is truly an experience I will never forget, it is very different from street cars.
In fact, the confidence from this encouraged me to start track days at my local circuit, Summit Point, WV on my motorcycle.
I am very happy that I choose Dream Racing. Thanks to Enrico, the CEO for driving me and my friend back to the city when we were stuck there at the end. Thanks for the experience!
