The Goods
1. I've been once before, and then this makes the second time because it is delicious and indulgent.
2. This is a specialty "tonkatsu" restaurant. What makes it special is the fluffy/marshmallow like tenderness of the meats: chicken and pork mainly. Biting into it is the tenderest pork and chicken I have ever had.
3. Also, you are given sesame seeds to grind and tonkatsu sauce. Combination of the two come together like foodie "heaven" - as in so addictive
4. Served with rice, miso soup/tofu, shredded cabbage and unique dressings like ume and yuzu lemon.
5. They have a number of other offerings like gyoza and chicken karaage but the tonkatsu is the real showstopper. Usually also get 'ebi fry' fried shrimp to make it an extra special occasion.
Service:
1. I met Meredith for the first time, she is a familiar face here. One of the friendliest and funniest business owner/restauranteur I have met here in Vegas. She has monopolized this unique style dining I have only had in Asia known as "Saboten".
2. I wanna go back soon!
Ambiance
3. Quaint, small and cannot seat many. Makes the restaurant feel like there are never enough tables and is constantly busy from what I have seen. Sometimes wait time can get lengthy, but I do believe it is worth it.
MoJo
1. Says it all, very very tender pork/chicken fried to perfection and delicious sauces. Enough said
