  • Decent coffee and food, and Oliver the owner is a fairly cool guy, but something about the vibe is off. This one guy sits at the bar all day (who does't even work there) and holds court on his opinions. If you don't agree, look to be treated as an outsider. The fact that he's a complete idiot seems to be lost on just about everyone. The shop seems to cater to needy South Charlotte yuppies who have to have their egos stroked . Coffee is just not that hard to find, and Mugs is by no means the only place to find it. I'd keep looking for the truly independent shops where diversity is embraced, rather than ostracized. The moral of the story is I cashed n my Mugs stored value card and m happily spending the money at a truly independent coffee shop in Noda where they truly care about their customers. I suggest you do the same.
