| - Where do I begin? Let's make this review concise and easy to read.
Customer Service - most are nice, but could care less about your issues, disputes go unheard and doesn't get reviewed and followed up.
Service - Requested an AC repair less than a month into my new house and they blame the issue on the Nest Thermostat not being wired correctly so they tried to charge me over $400 in equipment cost. Their technician was incompetent, looked at and replaced everything else instead of the easiest issue (the wires on the AC unit itself)! I called OneGuard and tried to explain it but they didn't want to hear it at all and denied the cost out of their pockets. I cancelled my warranty with them since they were useless and not helping, why have Home Warranty if I'm going to have to pay for the repairs myself anyway? I found another AC technician myself to look over the issue and was told the Nest was wired correctly, but the problem was a wire that came loose on the AC unit itself from the outside. My technician charged me $10 to reconnect the wire (plug and play) and everything works within 10 minutes! The other technician spent 4 hours replacing 3 parts that had nothing to do with the problem and wanted to order a Control Board that would've cost me almost $400!
Conclusion - As stated above, I cancelled my warranty with them after the bogus blame game they wanted to play with me, of course with the services I had with them, needless to say they only refunded me $250 out of $500 stating I had to pay for the technician to come out, repair cost (which they didn't repair and the charges to them from the AC technician they didn't pay because I'm cancelling my policy), 1 month's Home warranty, and cancellation fee. Does it sound right? NO, did they reinstate my policy finding out it was their fault since I called them and sent them my technician's invoice of the actual issue and repair ($10 total charge), NO. All in All, being a first time homeowner I can't believe I had such a horrible experience with my warranty company, a company a homeowner should be able to trust and rely on to fix issues with their new house so they can be worry free for the 1st year.
STAY AWAY from OneGuard at all costs, otherwise, you'll just be paying $500 for incompetent, insensitive customer service...
