We tried Tryst Cafe for the first time today.
If you like organic food with more of a raw food menu you will enjoy this Cafe.
They have a nice selection of flavored iced teas and three different smoothies to order which compliment the dinner menu nicely.
I had the beef burger with their sauce, lettuce, grilled tomato and buffalo mozz cheese. It was very nice.
Beef was tasty, bun was grilled on the inside but nice and soft on the outside. Cheese was just hot enough to melt. Fries were hot and crispy.
The only issue I had with the burger was the tomatoes which were grilled and put on the burger was a tomato cut in half, so the first bite I took the tomato fell out. But, the grilled flavor added to the burger so I cut the tomato up and put it back inside the bun!
My husband had the talapia tacos and a side of black beans. He said the tacos were tasty but the beans had "no flavor". Well, at an organic restaurant this sometimes happens, but you can still add a little garlic or chili flavoring and be organic!
We had the cupcake trio for dessert. Six dollars for three cupcakes which were very "mini" at best. I think a more fair price would have been about four dollars considering the size of the cupcakes.
Our waitress was very good and attentive and gave good recommendations.
I feel the decor is more upscale New York loft which we really enjoyed but the number of children running around and talking loud kind of ruined our night out.
If we return we would probably both order the beef burger.
