I went to visit a friend at North Mountain Medical Rehabilitation Center last night. This place is the most unsanitary place I've ever been in. Where do I start... the equipment left in the the hallway was visibly dirty ( hairballs wrapped around the feet of a lift!) along with the floors which had footprints of dust and what seemed to be some kind of liquid on the floor. There was also a service cart with what appeared to have water and plastic drinking cups on it. When I asked a nurse if it was clean she said it was so I then proceeded to poor my friend a glass of water when I noticed the cup had lipstick marks on it. The next cup was no better.
Onto the inside of my friends room... dirty sink, peeling pant, liquid dripping on the floor from an IV, empty boxes of medical gloves on the wall, a puddle of what appeared to be water under his bed! I was scared to touch anything with fear of contracting Mrsa.
I felt like I was in a scary movie with diseases in the air and with the smell of death all around me. I'm in udder disbelief that a medical facility is aloud to stay open with such visible unsanitary conditions. I'm sure with a little more searching I could have found even more. Needless to say, I left there feeling sick to my stomach. I told my husband I'd rather have used a bathroom in a Circle K before I would ever consider using theres.
If I could I would have given a zero star review!!! Please think twice before putting a loved one in this facility!!!! Ps. I feel so bad for my friend who I had to leave behind! I will be talking to his daughter about my experience in hopes to move him to a better place.
