| - I stayed at the Mirage for a few days, so I was able to experience the weekend crowd and the weekday crowd.
What a difference!
The weekend crowds were polluted with reality stars (barf) and a smattering of LA trash with 'original' gun tattoos everywhere. It was amusing. The vibe was good and the pool scene was pretty rockin' considering the mix of young and mid-west old. There was definitely a lot to look at and it was a good time.
The stay was positive, as well. The rooms were updated and clean. Nothing overly amazing but certainly an attempt to stay modern: flat screen, glass top furniture, colorful décor. Hated the shower which looked like the only space not relatively new with rust stains underneath the water spout and an immovable shower head, but can't win 'em all.
The weekdays were obviously more chill, more retirees, more business people, but still good crowds, fun people, and a lot going on.
My unexpected favorites were the Siegfried and Roy Secret Garden and Revolution Lounge. Check 'em out!
I would definitely stay here again, at least for the pool and the great strip location!
