| - Extremely impressed all-around by Le Cirque, which was a pleasant surprise as I was not impressed by the one in NYC when I dined there several years ago. I had a group of friends in town for a couple days and we were so happy with our dining experience here that we immediately booked a second visit during their short trip.
Let's get the décor out of the way, because I rarely if ever comment or care much about the ambiance of restaurants - but I love the décor and layout of the restaurant and ambiance here. It is cozy without being confined, intimate without being too loud, and just overall feels romantic. It's such a lovely place to be.
Service is also top notch in every way. With French restaurants, I am always scared of the staff being pretentious or even condescending. Here, the staff are incredibly well-trained and knowledgeable, and show attention to detail while not at all being overbearing or pretentious. The sommelier was wonderful to talk to about wines all throughout dinner, and engaged us with discussions on the various vineyards and regions that his pairing picks were from.
Finally, the best and most important part - food is great. I would describe Le Cirque as top-notch execution with sufficient innovation to keep things interesting. My personal favorites for appetizers were the yuzu hamachi with avocado, the poached egg ravioli with mushrooms, and the langoustines with caviar. For the big dish, I loved the rabbit tasting, duck, and dover sole.
Don't skip the desserts either. Between our two trips we tried every one on the menu and they were all great. My personal favorite was the yuzu, strawberries, and cream served in an ice bowl. Just decadent in every way.
Le Cirque is now my go-to fine dining restaurant in Las Vegas. Easy 6* if I could.
