  • I guess I am jaded because I have eaten in the world's best deli's in NYC, Chicago, Palm Springs and LA. And of course Chompies in Phoenix. With that said, Katz is a little too skimpy with the meat on their sandwiches. I am expecting a Pastrami the level of Canter's in LA. I need to lower my expectations in life and I won't be disappointed? I can hear my dearly departed Jewish Father-in-Law whispering in my ear. I digress. Restaurant just doesn't cut it. And the little man server who scurries around like a chicken in a twister is not endearing. Although I think he thinks he is. Bathroom door right in the eating area is bad placement. No beautiful deli counter with meats. No beautiful bins full of bagels. Not a black and white cookie or pastry in sight. Decor is cold and verbotten. Guess I will be ordering online from Zabars.........
