I hope this review will help, I will do a break down, I apologize for the lengthy review.
We were there in May 2016 for our photo engagement shoot, wedding is this fall, ceremony and reception will be held at the Planet Hollywood.
This hotel is pretty basic, nothing special about this hotel, no sceneries to make a nice souvenir photo. This hotel is family friendly, ton of food and shopping and it's cheap. Attracts a lot of younger crowds. That's why I gave it 4 stars.
1. Reservation: It was quick and easy reservation
2. Check in: Planet Hollywood has a small check in reception area, line was long took about 15 mins standing in line to check in. They could make their check in counter bigger and more customer service reps during the peak check in.
3. Rooms: We stayed on the 52nd floor it was a resort room with strip/fountain view. We were lucky the room we stayed in had been recently renovated. No complained on the room everything was nice.
4. Pool: While we were walking through the hall to get to the pool, the hall was dark and dingy, glad they're going through renovations. The pool and the pool area is just a pool pretty basic, nothing special.
5. Food at the Spice Market was basic, but hearty, I did finding myself hitting the ribs a few time and the warmed crab legs, yes, I had 3 plate full of crab legs. Overall, it was good, I hate to say this, I even went to the Bellagio for the buffet surprisingly, the food was ok, the presentation was great, my apologies if I offend other Bellagio buffet fan. Sorry. I did not find myself going back for seconds at the Bellagio, but the presentation of the food was AMAXING! It was really pretty. Anyways, getting back to Spice Market Buffet....the service was excellent, didn't have any problem there.
6. Food at Koi Restaurant and Lounge, we were there with 7 people, it's Japanese California fusion, the food was great! No complain, service was great.
7. Room service: We also had room service also and the food is great no complain there either, we had omelets, burgers, BLT sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, and they all were great, food was still hot when it was delivered to our room.
8. Shopping: Walked around the Miracle Mile it was a lot of shops, but I didn't purchase anything there, I went shopping at Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
9. The casino area, we walked through, we're not gamblers so I assume it's just like any gambling casino on the strip.
10. Check out: It was easy and quick. No hassles there.
And that it is for my May trip, overall this is a great hotel if you have business to attend to nice and relaxed atmosphere.
