| - We arrived at Pete's in a bit of a fury. The most beautiful day of the year to date and my bike was still up North at my parents'. Oh what an amazing day for biking it would be, yet I was bike-less. I desperately yearned to renew this ancient pass-time in my new downtown home. What was a girl to do?
And then there was Sweet Pete's, in all its glory. After scouring some of the bike shops along Bloor, we found it, this amazing emporium of four-wheeled beauties, some of which, we learned were for rent.
For 15.00 per half day, I rented a fantastic sleek black road bike and oh did I cycle. Over two days (I came back the next day, having had way too much fun), we did about 75km and saw some great Toronto neighbourhoods, from Roncy and Parkdale to Leslieville, Cabbagetown and The Beaches. Cycling along the Lakeshore was serene. We even met up with members of the Yelp crew on their tour of East End coffee shops.
This city was made for cycling.
