I'd been wanting to go to Lotus of Siam for years given its reputation. It is in a strip mall and seemed to be a lot of tourists. We got there a little early for our reservation. Waited a few minutes at the bar and were seated. The place is much larger than you'd expect. And packed, so make a reservation.
The food was really good. Not the best Thai food I've ever had. But most was great. The stuffed chicken wing is say skip. The papaya salad was really good. The larb, one of my favorite Thai dishes usually, was spicy. You can actually pick your spice on some dishes, we went with 7 of 10, which we was spicy enough. Any more and you're asking for pain. The curry was tasty but we were full by then. The crispy prawn dish was huge and awesome. Not cheap but not pricey either.
I'd recommend coming here for a respite from the strip. Very good food. And fun. Staff was very friendly.
