We are Marriott gold level members who stay exclusively at Marriott hotels. We have never had such a bad experience! Our adventure started on a cold rainy day when our 2 bedroom unit had a fireplace that wasn't working. We reported it immediately and were told they were aware of the problem and that they would send a technician. No offer to move us, but the promise of an interruption by a worker. . . . Great! (We never saw a technician and the fireplace never worked) Since the room was cold we turned the heater on. To our surprise the intake unit was located over one of the bathroom vanities and was extremely loud. Every time the heater ran it was unbearably loud. We had our sleep interrupted several times overnight when the heater turned on. Then there were the smaller annoyances, like a remote that did not work in the bedroom, the toilet that clogged and overflowed (no plunger in the unit), and the dried out tasteless food served for breakfast. All in all a miserable experience and one we will not repeat.
