  • I went into MC3 about week ago to redeem a Groupon for a "Three Hour Spa Outing with Pedicure, Facial, and Massage." I was welcomed warmly and seated promptly for my services. Once seated, I was offered water, which came room temperature in a plastic cup that may have gone through the dishwasher a time too many. My pedicure was with Cliff and though he was nice, it was easily the worst pedicure I have ever received. The leg and foot massage felt great but was far too short compared to every other pedicure I've had, and very little effort was put into the exfoliating or polishing portion of my pedicure. My heels were never touched, and what was exfoliated was run over a time or two with what looked like a cheese grater (and from what I've been told since, those aren't supposed to be used in spas anymore since they have blades that can't be sterilized completely). I had lots of polish left on my nail bed and in less than a week, ALL of my nails have lost the polish (from everyday wear in shoes to work). His phone must have gone off 25 times for text messages. In less than 30 minutes, my pedicure was complete and I was ushered downstairs for my facial then massage with Jess. The rooms were small and dark- which I am completely fine with- and the beds were warm. The facial included a cleanse, scrub, and moisturization from what I can tell. I enjoyed the massage, but I was never asked if I had any areas of concern/tension, or how much pressure I liked. Despite the voucher being for three hours, I was in and out in just under two- which they explained was because I didn't have to change rooms in between my facial and massage, and because my feet didn't need that much work...What?? How long did they expect it to take for me to walk across the hall had I needed to change rooms? And why would you have to be inconvenienced with relocating just because you are having two services? I paid for three hour of services, that's kind of what I expected when I walked in. I did leave feeling like I'd had a massage, though it wasn't anything to write home about. Any relaxation was nixed when I woke up the next day to an itchy, swollen face with tiny red bumps all over it. I do not have sensitive skin at all so I went to Urgent Care because I knew something had to be wrong, not just some reaction to the products- I had a bacterial infection from the facial and needed a round of Prednisone to clear it up. I'm not kidding. I will not be back, I regret spending my money here, and I inform anyone looking for spa services to steer clear of MC3.
