While I really enjoyed the food here, I was disappointed with the overall vibe, energy, and staff of Revel. I understand that it's more casual downstairs, but it would be nice to see a more pleasant and attentive staff. This seems to be commensurate with the "hotel restaurant" stigma associated with its close proximity to the Hilton Garden Inn.
Aside from those issues, it was apparent to me that they had some talent in the kitchen. The presentation and the quality of the dishes were spot on.
My recommendation would be to treat both establishments with the same amount of attention. The patrons are already willing to spend the extra amount to dine at either.
