| - Red Velvet cupcakes are my kryptonite so obviously I had to check out Sprinkles as soon as I got to town... literally. Two Red Velvet cupcakes, and a mini Red Velvet later, I'm ready to give me review.... They were good, really good, but not the best. The regular sized ones were maybe a little dry (but not so dry as to stop me from eating a dozen more...) so if I'd paid for them (more on that in a minute) I may have been disappointed but probably not because it's still a dang good cupcake. The mini one I had, however, was bite sized perfection.
If you're not a Red Velvet person, they have tons of other flavors which I should probably try sometime - I mean after all, I've never met a cupcake I didn't like. Beyond the traditional vanilla and chocolate, they bake up specialty flavors that vary depending on the day including Banana Peanut Butter (!), Chocolate Coconut, Cuban Coffee, Carrot, Strawberry, Cinnamon Sugar AND SO MANY MORE!!! Plus, they have seasonal ones like Pumpkin and for the month of May they are doing a special Margarita flavored cupcake.
They sell the mini cupcakes for $2/each and the regular ones for $3.75 each. If you think that's too pricey sign up for the Sprinkles Perks program online (it's free) and just like that they will give you a FREE CUPCAKE! Then, they'll give you another one for your birthday. Just make sure to sign up for the program around when you'll be able to go because the free cupcakes do expire.
If you're looking for something sweet and are a cupcake lover then you've got to check out Sprinkles. It's located on the Linq Promenade so it's not terribly convenient if you're staying anywhere other than Linq, Flamingo, or Caesars, but with that delicious cupcake waiting, it's definitely worth the walk! OH, and you can get Sprinkles cupcakes 24 hours a day with the only Cupcake ATM in existence - I think.
