The first year, maybe year and a half, I couldn't be in there enough to pick up their apricot, almond and chocolate croissants. The flakiness and flavor were amazing, as was the quantity of the fillings. The fruit croissants had loads of filling: enough that there was always those gooey 'tags' of overflow that got devoured on the way home.
Now, the amount of filling is so small it barely coats the inside. The chocolate croissant which I get for my boyfriend used to have a significant chocolate load. The last couple of time I bought them, there were just small dots of chocolate. I cut it in half and it looked like 2 chocolate chips. 2!
A co-worker said he has stopped going there for the same reason. He bought the cranberry bread and had to cut 3 slices before he encountered a single cranberry.
Without the whole package; great pastry AND sufficient quantities of the primo ingredients, BB is just another bakery charging premium prices for average products.
