March 6th I bought one glazed donut. Not the freshest donut but, I ate it anyway. I made the purchase about 7pm.
I decided to give this place another chance March 19th. I bought one vanilla cream filled donut. I bought the donut around 6pm. When I got home and attempted to eat the donut it was hard and dry. To give some perspective, it had the texture and toughness of a hard roll used for hot sausage sandwiches. I phoned the store and they told me the donut was like that because it was in the display all day and the air made it dry. I was also told they do not bake the donuts in the store. Wait! What? This bit of revelation was no surprise for me, most Americans have known this for many, many years.
When I told the person on the call that I have been baking for years and there is a HUGE difference between a donut that has been sitting out for a few hours, compared to one that is days old. I was informed to stop in and and remind them of my experience. He didn't indicate what kind of compensation I would receive. I figured it would be yet another stale donut. So I'll pass on that. I recommend you pass on this place as well. These folks are shady and don't give a crap about what they are serving their customers.
I did hear one good thing, that they have good coffee. But I'm not a coffee drinker.
