I had such a bad experience even touring and putting down a hold for an apartment here. The apartment complex was very outdated. The woman who showed us around mentioned many times that they were working on renovations, but she couldn't show us any of the new apartments. The apartment she showed us had a horrible layout with walls at strange angles and tiny closet space. I have no idea how anyone would arrange furniture with a floor plan like that. When we went back to the leasing office, I felt pressured to put a hold on the apartment. I didn't qualify to sign the lease on my own because my income isn't 3x the monthly rent, so I had to have a guarantor sign on. The leasing office required 6 months of my guarantor's bank statements, even though they didn't ask for so much as a pay stub from me. The leasing agent was incredibly unprofessional oohing and ahhing over my parents' income, even going so far as to ask them to adopt her. I ended up filling out about 20 min of paperwork just to put down a hold, not even to sign a lease. I think it's safe to say I will not be moving in and I found the whole experience uncomfortable and unprofessional.
