| - This was not my first pick, but the Oggi's next door was packed on Friday evening. We saw that there was seating over here so we decided to try it.
2 Words- "WAY overpriced!!!"
$6 for 5 small slices of garlic bread dripping with EVOO and covered with diced tomatoes? And that was Happy Hour pricing? Really? Owners, this isn't SCOTTS-dale, it's GLEN-dale.
I was confused by the front door area having a Coffee Bar? I didn't get that at all. Signs were all around proclaiming it was the home of the "original mushroom bar", but then I hate mushrooms, so I wasn't going to seek out any bar that serves fungi. If its there, I didn't find it, thank goodness.
We ended up being seated on the Patio on a day that was around 90 degrees, but this was near 7pm. PLEASE turn off the misters!!!!
There was a guy (also just inside the front door, making this area even more awkward) that was playing guitar. I didn't really hear him much from the patio area, though. The Patio area is very nice, just really cold when its not sunny, yet the misters are blasting away and somebody thought it was OK to bring their dog out there? If I want to eat with dogs, I can stay home for that and spend about $6 for the same food and 2 rounds of drinks that cost $30 from here (again, these were supposed to be Happy Hour prices). Next time I'm in the area, I'll wait to get in next door at Oggi's.
The only reason its a 3 instead of 2 stars was the service was very friendly and the place is very well kept.
