  • Incompetent and unprofessional boobs. As a pilot, I'm usually pretty good at discussing system failures with mechanics. In this case, I was simply talking to dead space. Furthermore, they played a game of bait and switch. Firstly, they didn't install the radio correctly as it sat crooked in its panel. Furthermore, the bluetooth feature barely worked and I expressed my concern as I specifically detailed the problems I was having. Problems with a $700 Pioneer radio that I expected greater performance from (sorry about the dangling participle). :-) They moved the microphone (that didn't help), then further installed the radio even more askew. When I explained that the bluetooth phone feature hadn't improved, they simply stated that it was a limit on an aftermarket radio. Furthermore, I asked for a specific feature to be installed and they said it wouldn't be a problem. They then installed the radio and blew off adding the feature that they said "wouldn't be a problem." When I went to go pick up the car....they said that they couldn't install that feature because I had used a pre-paid installation service through Crutchfield.....but they failed to call me to advise me of this during the install or tell me before I had the installation completed (had they told me they couldn't install that feature, I would have gone elsewhere). They then advised me AFTER the install that they were happy to go back in and complete install of that additional feature......but they would have to charge me their normal install charge to do it. Of course they'd be happy to do that. :-/ I finally got referred to Don at SoundWerks......who quickly identified the problem (AudiExpress didn't set up the Pioneer radio correctly for my Lexus) and resolved it.....and then had the radio physically correctly set into my panel. Looks great now and it works even better than an OEM system! So, at best AudioExpress are incompetent and unprofessional.....at worst, almost criminal. My advice: steer clear.
