| - First I need to say that Carolyn is a lovely person.
I decided to make my initial appointment at La Bliss based on all of the wonderful Yelp reviews that I had read. I've had 3 pedicures at La Bliss.
My first experience was very good. I pre-booked my next appointment (saving me $5 on my next appointment). I walked out very happy.
My next experience I requested that my toenails be trimmed a tad shorter. I pre-booked my next appointment and after getting home, I felt my toenails were not trimmed to my liking.
My third appointment, I again requested my toenails be trimmed shorter. Not having my eye-glasses, to my naked eye my toenails looked nice, so I again, pre-booked another appointment. Upon returning home, I put my glasses on and looked down at my toes and was very disappointed with what I saw. On 3 nails, she completely missed polishing about 1/3 of my nails. Additionally, though she used a brush to "clean up" the polish from my skin and cuticles, on quite a few of my toes the polish was covering below the cuticle line. I took pictures of my toes on both feet from various angles that clearly showed the unsatisfactory service I had received.
Being a fair person and a very good tipping customer, and not one to complain, I decided to cancel my pre-booked appointment and explained to Carolyn why and sent the images I had taken the day of my last appointment. Carolyn did express that "it was her job to make me happy" and offered me an "All Glow Pedicure" at no charge to me.
I graciously declined the gratis service.
If I was rating La Bliss on Carolyn's personality only, 5 stars would be too few. My rating is solely based on my 3 appointments, though more specifically for the service I received during my final visit.
