  • We purchased a home with a pool in Fountain Hills and for lack pool experience we decided to bring in a professional and selected Admiral Pools out of Scottsdale. This is supposed to be a full-service pool service consisting of chemical and scrubbing the pool once a week. On the first visit we observed Zack their serviceman perform a single (1) chemical test, drop a few (4) tablets in our dispenser, and barely scrub no more than two (2) feet down the side of the pool. The entire visit to our pool lasted no more than three (3) minutes. I was very concerned at the brevity of the weekly service call but did not want to rush to any hasty decisions so I decided to wait for the following week to observe Zach a second time. On Zach's second visit to service our pool he immediately went to the pool auto-fill valve, turn it off from the main and proceeded to replace it. This is a strange occurrence to us since we just had a professional replace major equipment on the pool and further inspect all remaining equipment prior to purchasing our home just two weeks previous. All equipment was operating and was certified two weeks prior and so this valve did not need replacing whatsoever. This is an obvious attempt of this organization or serviceman to charge extra for equipment that was not necessary to replace. It would be interesting to determine if these service techs earn a commission on equipment they see fit to replace without the customers permission or on the many pools they service with absentee owners. After unnecessarily replacing the valve, Zach then skipped performing any kind of chemical test on the pool water, neglected to scrub the pool entirely and left within a few minutes. If selecting this company I'd suggest watching them like hawk's and questioning any service they recommend or parts they replace.
