My girls and I were out and about on the town today and decided to have a pre Mother's day lunch. We pulled up the Yelp app and the Roasting Company came up. Not sure what we were getting into, but we were ready for the challenge. As we drove up we noticed that the restaurant was pretty laid back and inviting. In this place you are the waitress. You put in your order at the window and wait for your name to be called for pick up. It's was almost like my mom calling me to dinner. All utensils napkins and drinks were at your disposal. This was odd, but I found it pretty cool and different. The food was great and piping hot. I ordered the 1/4 roasted chicken which was delicious. The pasta and cheese salad was the bomb! The greens were a little to tart for my taste ( just a table spoon or two of sugar will cut the bitterness) other wise my lunch was great. My daughter's had the chicken and rice with black beans. They absolutely loved it. They had a variety of sides which consisted of yams, cornbread dressing, bake beans and potato salad. All were good, however the cornbread dressing was to sweet. Regardless, we had a ball and I will be back.
