Planet Hollywood is a solid 3.5-star hotel. I wish I could give it more love but parking and WiFi suck.
4-stars - Hotel Room. We stayed in a newly remodeled Ultra Resort Room. It was super clean and spacious. The only thing I disliked about the room was that it overlooked the pool and while I enjoyed the two-piece eye candy, even the double-pained windows couldn't hold back the boom boom boom of the bass bass bass.
4-stars - Casino. I liked the vibe and variety of games available to play. Most casinos are dead in the middle of the day but this place was jumping.
4-stars - Food. Everything tasted good!
1-star - The Underground. When you pull into the casino to check-in there are signs specifically meant to confuse the sh!t out of you. LAX makes more sense... downtown Tijuana makes more sense... this place doesn't!
1-star - Valet. Don't even think about using the valet on a weekend. The lines are longer than Disneyland.
1-star - Parking. You have to park in Arizona and walk through a "mile of shops" to get to your room. By the time you get there, you are too tired to go downstairs and gamble!
1-star - Parking Deck. There are two elevators that go from the mall to the upper levels of the parking structure. Stupid design. There aren't enough elevators and they aren't located in an air conditioned part of the building.
1-star - WiFi. First, it is an unsecured connection (when there is an actual connection). Second, it is unreliable and slow. It's an embarrassment in 2017. Their entire IT department should have their flip phones and PalmPilots taken away.
Would I stay here again? Yes, if comped.
