Not that impressed with my first visit here, the place is beautifully decorated and ambiance is romantic cute but it stops there. The place was hopping with happy hour folks when we went so I think drink specials are a plus here but I wasn't that excited when I saw the menu options. It appears to be more of a place to see and be seen and many 5 star reviews were over their brunch menu which I haven't tried so I can't comment there but for lunch everything was way over priced and being in midtown Phoenix I was surprised. The most appetizing option I saw was the salmon superfood but it was $25 which seems excessive. I have to say though their crusty artisan bread that they bake in a brick oven is amazing and worth the trip and the take home loaf is only $3. For my visit, I ordered the chicken sandwich and even though it was good, it wasn't memorable and cost $15 I think which seems excessive for a basic chicken sandwich when I can go down the street and get the same exact sandwich for half the price. A plus here is that kids always eat free. The chef/owner is renowned and the restaurant has the farm to table concept going on here so I can understand the pricey options but coming from Cali where farm to table is more common, it doesn't justify the high priced menu items for the area.
