| - Back in SF, before buying any livingsocial type deal I would first do extensive OCD-style homework on review sites, primarily Yelp - but alas, it seems Cleveland is not quite so tech-savvy. Nevertheless, $40 for a mani, pedi, and eyebrow wax was a sweet deal, and given that I was in dire need of all three, I went with it!
If you're the sort of person who prefers to bury your nose in an Us Weekly and fiddle with the massage chair while the person scrubbing your foot chatters away to a coworker in another language (in my admittedly limited experience, every mani/pedi ever) this may not be the perfect place for you. Otherwise, go for it!
The staff of young women were so delightful, chatty, and genuine. As I'm a Cleveland newbie, Hannah and Cassie took the time to offer advice and share with me all their favorite Cleveland spots. Hannah really knew her stuff too - my nails look gorgeous, no smudges or chips thus far, even though I took a hot yoga class a few hours after my appt. Also, the massage chairs are THE BEST EVER.
I was nervous because sometimes when I go to a new waxer, saying "not too thin" is like saying "not too much sugar in my coffee" to the Dunkin Donuts staff - I swear they pour it in/wax it all off just to spite me - but luckily I could say to Hannah "just like yours" and they came out perfect.
Plus the atmosphere of the salon is full of personality without being rundown. I'm seriously considering going back for a haircut - based on the haircuts of the girls working there alone!
