Didn't know Cabarrus Brewing Company existed, but I came out of my uptown Charlotte shell for a birthday party. You could tell as soon as you arrived that Cabarrus was good because the weather was awful, but the parking lot was still packed.
The main entrance opens into a large warehouse filled with picnic tables and hi-top bar tables with the bar at the far end. There is also a more private raised area where you could host a private party or event. There was also an outdoor patio that I didn't get to test out due to weather.
I only tried three of the around ten to twelve beer offerings, but was not disappointed. The Jackson Browne Dark Wheat was my first selection. I'm not particular to darks or wheats, but I do like Jackson Browne. It was five stars. Fairly light but good flavors. I don't remember specific names for the other two drinks, but they were an IPA (three stars; overly bitter even for an IPA) and a porter (four stars).
I probably won't had back out to Cabarrus due solely to the distance. If it were closer, it would have potential to rival Sycamore Brewing in atmosphere and great selection of drinks.
