| - Great selection, HORRIBLE customer service.
Firstly, I have been going to Glaziers since it first opened. There is an abundance of East Coast brands as well as foreign brands that I love. I appreciate the diversity of the food from lavash to cannolis. However, for the past 3 years I rarely go to Glaziers; actually I dread going there, but they offer some brands I can only find there, such as Herrs.
Why? I am FREQUENTLY stereotyped as a shoplifter with my boyfriend. We are both young, 21 and 22 year old UNLV students, who typically spend more than $100 per shopping trip. Yet, we have been trailed by Glaziers workers as we shop, making us uncomfortable. Imagine shopping with people following your every move. My bf had bought in an Aquafina water bottle into the store (as its hot outside and we have to remain hydrated) and one employee accused him of stealing it. I told him he could check the cameras and clearly see my bf walked in with the water bottle (disgusting).
Additionally, the staff is rude at almost every counter. Today, an older woman working self checkout accused me of having a fake ID when purchasing alcohol. She said, "why is the license picture this way", referring to the vertical picture because she was "used to seeing horizontal" . I was so appalled, I told her to get in contact with the NV legislature and NV DMV if she is so concerned. I did not have time to explain the license renewal procedure to her, and that I recently turned 21. Honestly, the ignorance and attitude of their employees is offensive.
If I can find some of the brands I like at Glaziers elsewhere, I will.
