  • I hardly ever write reviews, but I felt I had to this time. I have a 2 year old shih tzu. Admittedly, he is a little high strung. However, when I took him to the Pet Salon, right near his eye was knicked/raw when I picked him up. I figured these things can happen with wiggly dogs. So, the next time he needed groomed I took him back to the Pet Salon because it is close by to my home. Right away, my dog did not want to go in the doors and I had to pick him up and carry him in. He was taken back behind the door and down the hall to where they groom the dogs (you cannot see where the dogs are being groomed which I do NOT like; all the other places I go have open windows where you can see the dogs and groomers). When I came to pick him up I was told that he had bit the groomer. The owner was very rude with me. My dog wasn't himself for days after., he just seemed very on edge. They said they would groom him again but I refuse to go back. I have taken him to several groomers since and he has never gotten scared just at the sight of a place like he did when I took him to this place the second time. And, he has never bit nor been knicked at any of the other groomers. He has always gotten good reports on behavior and is calm when I pick him up.
