My employer has a contract with Holiday Inn hotels, so I have my choice of about 6 different properties when I work in Vegas. This is my 4th time here, so I will leave a review. The good: rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Kitchens are great and the on/off fireplace is nice. Front office staff is very polite and professional. The bad: front office staff is terribly slow. You have to wait in line to check in, the whole time wondering why they only have two people working check in. Once it is your turn, you wait again while they input enough information for a cook book. Seriously why does it take so long when you had all of my information before I got here? When you're finally done you're not done because you have to go wait in a new line to get your parking pass. Sheesh. I also agree with many of the reviews regarding the grounds staff and housekeeping. They seem to go out of their way to be noisy first thing in the morning.
After 7 stays here I have to tell you: beware. This is a party hotel. Don't plan on sl noeeping. Sucks for me as I am a business traveler. I stay here because I have to book on short notice and this is often the only place with vacancy. Otherwise I wouldn't stay here. The rooms aren't nice enough to compensate for the noise and the check in hassles.
9th time, and by far the worst. Literally dozens of screaming kids and drunken parents everywhere. It's like being in a frat house.
12th time and the noise issues have improved. Rooms are very nice and a full kitchen with full size coffee maker is nice if you're staying for a few days.
Well now I've been here 40+ times. I've lightened up a bit and I bring quality earplugs, so all is well. I have to use the earplugs about one out of three visits. This place is usually a very good value with good amenities and clean comfortable rooms.
