Faithfully my mom brought her 8 yr old chiweenie for 4 years to this vet. He was always sick and they ran multiple tests on him. He had to go thru surgery to remove a growth on his spleen and take steroids everyday for 4 years. Still he was sick. Then they said he had a thyroid problem. More meds but still he was not well. After 4 years of tests and $6000 later a final diagnosis of cancer in 3 areas was finally determined. How was this not found with all the bloodwork and screening? My parents were diligent on giving his meds and taking him to the vet, but it was just a revolving door that required a swipe of their credit card each time with no answers. They put trust in this place to help their happy yet sick puppy. Before finding out it was cancer, he woke up and couldn't open his eyes or move. So they had to put him to sleep that same day after finally being told he had cancer that couldn't be treated. He was just there two weeks prior for a wellness check and bloodwork. Why wasn't this found?? I do NOT recommend taking your pets here.
I took my own dog there for a check up. They weren't able to do a fecal sample
So I took a container home to do it myself and bring it back. I got a call (before bringing it back) from the vet and they said it came
Back normal. How can a test be normal
If I haven't even submitted the sample? Are they even actually testing our pets or just charging you for it?
