Had an appointment right around the corner so we went here yesterday for dinner after seeing good reviews.
The entrance to this establishment is a little confusing. You have two options. A side or front entry. Either way it's awkward cause you have to walk through the tables of patrons eating to get to the host to get seated.
The tortilla soup had a nice strong kick to it. Probably the boldest in flavor I've had. Wished I had got a bowl.
The seafood chile relleno had a great presentation but unfortunately it wasn't quite hot in temperature and the flavors didn't seem to distinguish themselves as much as I'd hoped. The side of jalapeño corn had good flavor but the jalapeño was missing.
Bread pudding for desert it was decent.
Our experience wasn't bad but not close to spectacular either. All in all I was expecting a little more seeing 4.5 stars. Personally I would give a 3.5.
Nice atmosphere, we sat outside. Live music was being set up as we were leaving.
