| - Booked a last minute staycation with my boyfriend and was absolutely blown away. Every angle is top notch and totally unique, from the rotating art swathed across the walls and galleries downstairs to our industrial loft-style room upstairs, whose details included repurposed wine bottle glasses, adjustable metalwork light features, a walk-in frosted glass and tile shower, and finally a floating bed plumped with the most crisp, downy sheets and pillows and signed with a full-length leather ottoman. We had plans for a mural hunt down Roosevelt Row (literally right around the corner; seriously, the location can't be beat) but ended up just exploring every clever corner and thoughtful touch in the hotel before stretching out poolside for a generous happy hour (4:20 - 6:20) highlighted by boozy blue raspberry push pops (partial proceeds go to fund tortoise conservation efforts) and a view of the lime green T-rex sculpture and well-groomed palms that frame the pool. Breakfast the next morning at the in-house Match Cuisine & Cocktails sent us off on a high note, thanks to not only the "globally inspired, locally sourced" fare - think Tuscan kale and crispy pancetta over focaccia cubes, or a heaping bowl of fresh fruit with cardamom whipped cream - but also the continuation of caring customer service: when we commented on the snappy stylus pens used to sign our check, our server gave us two. A-freaking-plus.
