| - So after the first review, I was contacted by Goettl, which is why I updated my review. They apologized to me about the pricing and asked how they could win back my business. I told them I didn't need the services anymore since I did it myself for $4,500 less. $800 vs $5,300. And in only 3 hours, with no experience.
They offered 2 years of their Goettl club membership for free as an apology, which I took advantage of, a big part of why I changed my review. They came twice in the first year, once for summer and once for winter, to do whatever it is that they do with the club membership (supposed to come twice a year), and I haven't heard anything since. We are well into the triple digit heat days, and they haven't done the check on our A/C unit this year like they were supposed to. I actually had to have my condenser fan replaced, something that I think they should have noticed had they come to do the scheduled maintenance. I was without A/C for a few days. That's miserable with a 2 year old.
As for the commercials that they have about replacing the "missing screws", that's a joke too. I think I've had them to the house 3 times, and never has a "red tipped screw" ever shown up on my unit. I know for a fact that it's missing screws too, because I'm the one that lost them when I was "investigating". They try to tug at your family values which is why I originally called them out, but like I said before, buyer beware. Do research and know what's going on before you have them do any work.
You'd think that if you were giving someone two years of your club membership for free, because you tried to take advantage of them with your pricing, that you would at least follow through on it. Seems like customer service 101 to me.
It can take a lifetime to build a good reputation, and only seconds to destroy it.
