| - I've given up on a different location so I decided to give the Desert Ridge location a try. When I called the front desk person could not find me. I've been a Massage Envy member for like 6 or 7 years, albeit at a different location, but this is a large chain, so you'd think the member database would be fairly simple to navigate. I ended up having to wait...and wait... while he searched, continuously telling me that he couldn't find me. Finally, after what felt like forever, he found my account. Good thing is, they were able to get me in for a same day appointment.
I arrived and the check-in process was swift, as usual with Massage Envy. At the receptionist's suggestion, I was booked with Ashley for a deep tissue + Swedish. What a great suggestion. Ashley was friendly and personable, yet she didn't talk through my massage, which is just the way I like it. She is AMAZING with deep tissue and Swedish techniques. She reached all of my problems areas and knocked those kinks right out. She has great skill!
The only thing that kept my massage from perfection was the room temperature. Unfortunately, I was not able to fully relax and enjoy my time because I was too busy shivering and freezing my tushy off - even with the table warmer on. So I'm not sure if each room has individual thermostat controls or if there is only one main control, but that needs to be addressed. And in fairness, I did not mention the temperature issue to my masseuse; I thought my goosebumps and chattering teeth were speaking loud enough for me.
Ashley gives 4-star massages (warm up that room!). Due to my frustrations with the front desk, customer service would get a 2. 3 is a happy medium at this point.
